AusDI Advanced now includes product information (PI) and product images.
Some medicines products rely only on product information as a sole source of medicines information. This can be risky as not all product information documents are current, and there are example of this in the Australian medical literature [MJA 2009 190 (3) 110–111]. The AusDI independent drug monographs are evidence-based and developed from a wide range of Australian and international sources by our editorial pharmacists.

AusDI Advanced now provides users with PI cross-linked to related independent drug monographs as well as links to current consumer medicines information. In addition, 2,150 new drug images are included. AusDI Advanced also has an improved user interface and improved quick search and advanced search capabilities across all full text data sets.

A: What is an independent drug monograph?
All monographs contain detailed comprehensive information in a standard format that includes indications, pharmacology and pharmacokinetics, precautions, side effects, patient counselling points and dosing.
Complementary medicines monographs are evidence-based and include information in the same format as other drug monographs, including interactions, contraindications and side effects.
